- Will karaoke play on a CD player? Yes, but you will not have the benefit of seeing lyrics on your TV screen. That requires a karaoke player.
- What does it mean "does not come with lead vocals"? This would be a CDG which has the lead singers voice removed so you can sing in his place. Lyrics will still be on your TV screen. CDGM has songs with and without lead vocals. These lead vocals can be removed by your speaker balance control on a regular CD player or multiplex button on your karaoke player.
- Does this song have background vocals? If the original song has background vocals, so will the karaoke version.
- Is this music from the original artists? No. Most all karaoke is recreated in the manufacturer's studio.
- What key is this song in? Not all manufacturers make this information available, but the general rule is the same as the original song in mainstream music.
