Karaoke CDGs are Compact
disc that contains graphics data in addition
to
the audio data on the disc. The Karaoke CDGs
can be played on a regular Audio CD player,
but when played on a special Karaoke CDGs player,
can output a graphics signal to a monitor or
TV.
Karaoke CDGs are specially formatted disc that
has an additional line of sub-code on the CD
that is responsible for the lyrics that play
on video screen for Karaoke systems. Karaoke
CDGs stand for Compact Disc + Graphics.
Karaoke CDGs do not have lead vocals. They
only have background vocals and instrumentals.
Standard audio CD players will play the audio
portion of Karaoke CDGs, but not the graphics.
Computer CD-ROMs will usually, but not always,
be able to play the audio portion as well. |
